When we fished our toile we tried dying all of the fabric, then we decided between each other to use the yellow on the crochet we all did for the garment and have it contrasting against a blue which May dyed.

When I designed the painting on the garment I looked into the flower which is a Peony, the old traditional flower of China. The way how I painted the garment was by tracing the pattern, then putting it under the fabric so I could see where to paint, we used gouache because it had a matte look and the colours were really strong.

We each did a line up of 8 garments we would choose which one to make our final garment, but we had made a decision before doing these line-ups so we included the final garment at the top right and worked around it using the colours and techniques such as crochet and painting.

When we had our exhibition I drew a front and back design of the garment according to how we'd made it, it didn't need any zips or fastenings, the only thing we had to adjust was when Aga wore the garment we had to sew the side a little bit tighter so that the garment would fit her better.

With some more collages I did, I drew from the main silhouette and looked at the shapes to make different types of garments like, shorts, skirts, dresses, tops and trousers.

With May's embroidery from Ice Skating costumes she collected images with bright colours to match with what we want our garment to have the same colours as, we really liked the orange and the blue together.

We also looked at pastel colours because some of my collages were painted quite femininely and we decided to go for the pastel bright theme through to our garment. Some of our garments turned out similar to some of Bovan's work again too, so I added colour to ever emphasise it and I liked the colours that related to the Peony which in my research was by the Tang Dynasty's, China's old national flower, which is shown in my research of the garments they are always included along with a phoenix, and also transferred to our garment when I painted the design.
